Custard Pie

This has got to be one of the easiest pies to make. Well, actually a pudding pie is probably a little easier. But, I usually use boxed pudding for that. The only trick with this recipe is to remember to turn down the oven after the first 15 minutes.

Set the timer.

Ingredients

1 9" deep-dish pie crust, unbaked
2/3 cup sugar
2 2/3 cups milk
1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
4 eggs, slightly beaten
1/2 tsp nutmeg to sprinkle
