Apple Crumb Pie



This is a quick and easy pie recipe that you can vary according to your tastes. I think the best part of an Apple Crumb Pie is the crumbs. So, I would probably double the ingredients for that part of the pie.

If you're ambitious, you can try and make your own pie crust. But, I find that some of the frozen crusts at the grocery store can be a pretty good substitute.

Ingredients

1 9" pie crust, unbaked
1/2 cup sugar
1 Tbsp cinnamon
1/2 cup sugar
3/4 cup flour
1/3 cup butter, hard
6-8 tart apples, peeled & sliced

Custom Search

Mix 1/2 cup sugar and cinnamon; set aside.

Mix remaining sugar with flour and butter until crumbly; set aside.

Arrange apples on crust.

Cover with cinnamon mixture; then top with crumbly flour mixture

Bake 400 for 10-15 min.;
then lower heat to 350 and bake about 40 min.
