Here's your answer for easy cake recipes. Find recipes for your old favorites, or try something new like a chocolate cream pound cake. You'll find just the right recipe for almost any kind of cake you may want. Just for starters you can find Apple Cake or Applesauce Cake. The Apple Cake may take a little more time because you you have to peel the cut the apples, of course. But, if you want a delicious cake quickly, try the Applesauce Cake. This cake is easier assuming you bought applesauce or made it ahead of time. If you plan on making the applesauce to make the cake, give youself several hours. Black Bottom Cupcakes are a real treat. They're moist and chocolaty and just a taste sensation, Classic Carrot Cake can be topped with classic Cream Cheese Frosting or you can try just a Vanilla Cream Frosting to top off this moist Carrot Cake. Baking Tips and Suggestions
While everyone has their favorites for what ingredients they use, I'd like to give you a few suggestions. I've come to find that there are a few select ingredients that are consistantly good and reliable. I stick with the following brands for all my delicious desserts:
Nestle Chocolate Morsels are consistantly good. I always use them in my Chocolate Chip Cookies. I guess when you find something you like, you stick with it.
I also use Hershey's Cocoa whenever a recipe calls for unsweetened cocoa. It's great in my Chocolate Frosting and in basic traditional Chocolate Cake.
Carnation Evaporated Milk and Sweetened Condensed Milk are essential for making Pumpkin Pie and those scrumptious Seven Layer Bars. I wouldn't be able to make my much-sought-after Gingerbread Men without using Grandma's Molasses. Baker's Chocolate is always essential for decadent brownies. You'll need some Philadelphia Brand Cream Cheese to make a terrific Cream Cheese Frosting for your Carrot Cake. And, don't forget the Karo Syrup for your Pecan Pie.
