Fudge Pudding



This truly decadent rich chocolate dessert has just the right texture and consistency for a delicious pudding. As the pudding bakes, the chocolate sauce forms.

Ingredients

2 cups
flour
1 1/2 Tbsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
1 1/2 sugar
5 Tbsp unsweetened cocoa
1 cup milk
4 Tbsp butter, melted
2 1/2 cups chopped nuts
   
Topping:  
2 cups brown sugar
3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa
2 1/4 cups hot water

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

In mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt, sugar and cocoa.

Stir in milk and melted butter.

Add nuts

Spread the mixture in a 9"x13" baking pan.

Before baking, sprinkle brown sugar and cocoa over the batter.

Pour the hot water over the entire pan of batter.

Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.

As the cake bakes, the cake mixture rises to the top and the chocolate sauce settles to the bottom.

To serve, tip squares of cake upside down onto plate. Pour some sauce from the pan over each piece.

Serves about 15.
