Chocolate Rice Pudding



Add cocoa to a traditional recipe for Rice Pudding and you get a delicious chocolaty dessert.

Ingredients

4 cups
milk
1/2 cup rice
2 Tbsp unsweetened cocoa
1/2 cup sugar
2 eggs
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 Tbsp butter, melted
sweetened whipped cream

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Grease 13"x9" baking dish.

Cook rice in milk in a large double boiler. (If you don't have a double boiler, cook over a lower heat and just keep and eye on the milk to prevent it from burning.)

Combine cocoa, sugar, eggs, salt, vanilla and butter.

Add cocoa mixture to rice.

Pour into greased baking dish.

Bake 350 degrees for about 30 minutes, or until golden.

Serves about 8.
