Popcorn Balls
Popcorn Balls always remind me of Christmas. Maybe it's just because they go along with stringing popcorn for the Christmas tree. But, they're great for the holidays as well as being a special treat throughout the year.
As with many of our other candy recipes, the only complication comes in cooking the ingredients to a certain temperature. If you want to do more candy making, you may want to invest in a candy thermometer
Ingredients
| 3 Tbsp | butter |
| 1 cup | molasses |
| 1 cup | light brown sugar |
| 1 cup | sugar |
| 1 tsp | vinegar |
| popped corn |
Melt butter.
Add molasses, sugars and vinegar
Boil until mixture becomes brittle (270 degree) when tested in cold
water.
Drizzle over popped corn.
Shape into balls.
Keep wetting hands in cold water to prevent mixture from sticking.
