Yellow Birthday Cake

Traditional Yellow Cake. What more can be said about this baking standard? No cookbook is complete without at least one Yellow Cake recipe. This one is, once again, quick and easy. And, it has the added bonus of sour cream to make the cake really moist.

There's not really much to vary in the ingredients for this cake. So, if you want some variety try using different types of bakeware. If you're just starting to build your supply of bakeware, Cooking.com has a " "starter set" of baking pans that will get you going.

3/4 cup butter
3 cups flour
2 cups sugar
3 eggs, beaten
1 cup milk
1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
