Whole Wheat Quick Bread
This really is a "Quick" Bread, because you don't have to use yeast. No need to wait while the bread rises. Just mix the ingredients and bake. It's that's quick and easy.

Ingredients
| 2 cups | whole wheat flour |
| 1 tsp | salt |
| 1/2 tsp | baking soda |
| 1 1/2 tsp | baking powder |
| 1 | egg, beaten |
| 1 cup | buttermilk or sour milk |
| 1/2 cup | molasses |
| 1/4 cup | butter, melted |
Preheat ovento 350 degrees.
Grease 7"x11" loaf pan.
Mix together flour, salt, baking soda and baking powder.
Combine egg, milk, molasses and butter.
Add liquid mixture to dry mixture and stir only to mix.
Pour into greased 7x11 pan
Bake at 350 for about 30 minutes.
Makes 1 loaf.
Buttermilk substitution:
If you don't have buttermilk you can sour the milk using:
1 1/2 Tbsp lemon juice to 1 cup milk
or 1 1/3 Tbsp cider vinegar to 1 cup milk.
Allow the mixture to settle and thicken a bit while you mix the rest of the ingredients.
