Wish List
Let's just call this:
"What To Get For The Baker Who Has Everything. (But, Always Wants More)".
This is my wish list for those bakeware items that I, of course, could live without but REALLY, REALLY want, because their so cute. Or, cool. Or just plain nifty. I will, of course, add to this list whenever the whim strikes me. Cooking.com, KitchenEtc.com and KitchenCollection.com have some neat stuff. And, I always see stuff at The Baker's Catalogue, that I know I can't live without.
And take a look at A1 Gourmet - Gourmet food guide: find recipes, gift ideas, and something for most any taste - gourmet coffee, steaks, wine, chocolate. Also visit our gourmet cafe for the best gourmet travel spots! This site has just about anything you want.
I'm really just getting started on it, but at this point, my list includes the following:
Interesting copper cookie cutters (the last one I got was an angel for Christmas cookies)
Flour, sugar, etc, copper canisters
wooden spoons
industrial sized, you know, like a 6-quart KitchenAid mixer
Various types of uniquely shaped cake pans like this fleur de lis bundt pan or this heart-shaped pan.
Unusual cookie tins (I send out me Christmas cookies in tins. But, toward the end of the summer I have to start reminding the people I've sent them to, that they'd better return them if they want more Christmas cookies.)
Plastic "engraved" cookies cutters. (I have a set of old plastic cookie cutters that must be at least 40 years old. They're different from the copper cookie cutters, because they leave a design, an indentation, on the cookie like the outline of Santa Claus. The ones I have now are starting to fall apart. If anyone knows where I can find new ones, PLEASE LET ME KNOW. Thanks.)
